The rules, without the fog.

These Terms are the agreement between you and HookUs for using the HookUs website and mobile apps. By creating an account or using HookUs, you accept them. If you do not, do not use HookUs.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information and forms part of this agreement.

To use HookUs you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• be legally allowed to use a service like this where you live;
• never have been removed from HookUs for breaking these Terms;
• not be required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction.

HookUs contains adult themes and is intended for adults seeking connections with other adults. One person, one account. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep your password to yourself.

Your photos, videos, bio, prompts and messages stay yours. You give us the permission we need to run the service — to store your content, resize and process your images, and show them to the members you have chosen to show them to. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, other than where we have to keep something for the reasons set out in the Privacy Policy.

You promise that what you upload is yours to upload, and that it does not break anyone else's rights.

These are the things that get accounts removed. Do not:

• be under 18, or help anyone under 18 use HookUs;
• pretend to be someone else, or use photos that are not of you;
• harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse anyone;
• post content that is hateful, violent, or sexually exploitative, or that shows a person who has not consented to it being shared;
• share another member's private photos, messages or personal details with anyone;
• use HookUs for commercial sex work, trafficking, or any other illegal activity;
• solicit money, run scams, or advertise;
• scrape, automate, reverse engineer, or otherwise attack the service or the people on it.

Private albums are a trust, not a transfer. When someone grants you access to an album, it is for you to look at. Screenshotting, saving or passing on someone's private media is a serious breach of these Terms and we will remove accounts for it.

Block and report are available on every profile and every conversation. Blocking takes effect immediately and works both ways. Reports are reviewed, and we act on them.

We do not run background checks on members. A verified badge means someone confirmed an email address or phone number — it is not proof of who they are. Use your judgement. Meet in public the first time, tell someone where you are going, and leave if you feel unsafe. Our Trust & Safety page has more.

You are meeting strangers. HookUs cannot make that risk-free, and does not claim to.

If you break these Terms we may limit what your account can do, suspend it, or remove it. For anything that puts someone at risk we will act immediately and without warning.

If you believe we have got it wrong, email privacy@hookus.app and a person will look at it again.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app — no email, no waiting on support. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what deletion does, including the two things we keep and why. We may end your account under section 6, or if we stop offering HookUs, in which case we will give you reasonable notice where we can.

We change HookUs continuously — features arrive, change and occasionally go away. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may need to take it down for maintenance.

HookUs is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law where you live allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for what another member does — online or in person. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed, and we will give you notice in the app or by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use HookUs after that means you accept the new Terms.
